Mr. Barkeling & Dr. Ilham Habibie Visited the Engineering Lab Facilities & the Operations Management Class at IULI

IULI had two distinguished guests on 6 September 2017 to the main building in GOP 6. They were Dr. Ilham Habibie, the founder of IULI, and Mr. Hendrik Barkeling, the Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Indonesia and DCM of the German Mission to Indonesia, ASEAN, and Timor Leste. In a meeting with Dr. Tutuko, the rector, Dipl. Ketut, the vice-rector, Dr. Samuel Prasetya (Dean of the Faculty of Business & Social Sciences), Dr. Indra Tanaya (Dean of the Faculty of Engineering), Tutun Nugraha, PhD (Dean of the Faculty of Life Sciences), Sammy Kanadi, MSc (the Department Head of International Relations), Hubert Born (Head of Marketing & PR), Olivia Natasya (Marketing & PR) and Ms. Intje Kreefft (the student counselor), a discussion took place about the start of IULI, the present situation and the future.

After a long, detailed, open and very positive discussion, the visitors went to look at the Faculty of Engineering laboratory, led by Dipl. Maralo Sinaga (the Department Head of Electrical Engineering) and then to a lesson conducted by Dr. Satiri on Operations Management. Also, Dali Bayuaji, from Mechatronics batch 2016, had an exclusive interview with Dr. Ilham Habibie. All in all, the professional and cordial nature of the meetings left a very positive taste for all at IULI (MiE).
