Excursion to Garuda Indonesia

On 2 October 2018 the Aviation Engineering and Aviation Management Students from semester 1,3 and 5 went on an excursion to Garuda Indonesia Training Center (GITC) in Duri Kosambi, Cengkareng, Jakarta Barat. In total there were 44 students from the Aviation Engineering study program and 2 from Aviation Management.

The students were welcomed by Capt. Setija Budhi (Senior Manager of Operation of GITC). The GITC stands on an area of 6.5 Ha and consists of training facilities for pilot, cabin crew, flight operation office and maintenance/engineering. First, they visited the cabin crew training facilities such as the emergency evacuation simulator, door opening display, cabin mock-up, and make-up room. Senior Manager Flight Attendant Training GITC Yonas P. Sutedjo guided this visit. Then, they visited the pilot simulator facilities that consists of 5 full motion flight simulators for aircraft types: Boeing 737, 777, 747, Airbus A320, A330. The excursion was finished with a group photo session in front of the GITC main building.
