Fourth Futsal and Basketball Internal Cup 2017

IULI, 3 April 2017. The internal cup is back! This time, it was held on the 24th and 31st of March 2017. This time the internal cup came up with a new poster and tagline “WE PLAY TO WIN!”. As we all know,the internal cup isn’t just a competition but it is also a chance to strengthen bonds between students. Although the internal cup is organized by the student executive board, other students also contribute to the preparation a month before the event. Just like the last internal cup, each faculty still competed with the 2 other faculties.

Futsal Competition

The futsal competition was held on Friday, March 24 2017 in Spartan, Alam Sutera. The competition was from 7 until 11 p.m. The competition was divided into two: male and female. For the females, there were 3 teams, 1 team from each faculty. For the males, there were 6 teams, 2 teams from each faculty (team A and team B). After a long competition, finally the girls’ futsal competition was won by the faculty of Business & Social Sciences with a score of 3-2 against the faculty of life science and with a score of 1-0 against hte faculty of engineering. The top scorer from the girls was Felia from International Relations with 2 goals. And as for the boy’s futsal competition,the  faculty of life science team A won with the score of 4-2. The top scorer was Fakhri with 6 goals.

Basketball Competition

The basketball competition was held on the last day of college before the mid-term break, a week after the futsal competition, on Friday, March 31 3017 in Gold’s Gym, The Breeze. Just like futsal, the basketball competition also consisted of 3 female teams, one from each faculty, and 6 male teams, two from each faculty. The event was started by an opening speech from Dr. Ir. Tutuko Prajogo, the rector of  IULI. The competition was from 6 until 10 p.m. The winner of the male basketball competition was the faculty of engineering team A. Their final score was 24-8. The MVP from the boys was Michael H from engineering. The winning female team was from the faculty of Business & Social Sciences with a score of 12-0 against the faculty of life science and 4-2 against the faculty of engineering.  The MVP from the girls was Felia from International Relations with 8 points.
