Food Technology and Chemical Engineering Students work on HPLC, GCMS and AAS at PUSPIPTEK

Students from the Food Technology Department and Chemical Engineering Department are receiving some training and are carrying out experiments at the advanced Chemical Analysis laboratory, within the Research Center for Chemistry, LIPI, PUSPIPTEK, Serpong.

In this opportunity the students performed analyses using High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) with Refractive Index detector for the analysis of hydrolysis products of Casava starch, Gas Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry for the analysis of Cinnamon Essential Oil, and the analysis of heavy metal Pb (Lead) in water using AAS (Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy).
