Day 2 of Orientation Week

24 July 2018- IULI is known for its awesome student experience and this year’s Orientation Week activities prove that there really is something for everyone. IULI’s Student Body Organization (BEM) organizes the Orientation Week each year, and this year’s offerings have been superb! Riding on the success of last year’s Orientation Week, IULI is hoping to create a sense of tradition for future Orientation Weeks by sticking with the successful combination of fun and educational activities.

The orientation week supports students’ transition from high school to university, and this year we are introducing some new games with the objective of involving the more introverted students.
Today’s event was filled with lots of excitement, fun, and laughter. The morning started off with a fun game called “Find Your Name Tag”. The mentors collected the students’ name tags the day before and then hid them in the hall. Each student has to find their own nametag by introducing themselves and asking if the other student has their nametag. It was a great opportunity for students to get to know each other and the ones who did not find their name tag received some fun punishments.

The day then continued with a motivational speech from Mr. Rachman Sjarief, continued by an introduction to BEM, student organizations, and extracurricular activities. Afterwards, the students went into their respective classrooms to receive an introduction to their study program from their dean.

The students were then once again able to indulge in the delicious buffet prepared by the Hotel and Tourism Management students at IULI Campus 1, The Breeze.

After lunch, the students gathered back in the hall to participate in a very entertaining presentation by Mr. Haniz (Senior Staff of Unit Narkoba Rumah Sakit Bhayangkara Sespimma POLRI) and his team about the dangers of Drugs (Narkoba) and HIV Aids.
