Aviation Engineering and Aviation Management students visit FL Technic Indonesia

FL Technic Indonesia invited IULI students to visit their hangar in theSoekarno-Hatta International Airport. This company is a Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) company that was established as a joint venture with FL Technic Lithuania in 2015. It operates a hangar with 3 bays for the maintenance of narrow body aircrafts.
On this occasion, 40 AVE and AVM students visited the hangar on Wednesday, 19 February 2020. They were welcomed by Ms. Tiara, who explained the company profile and its brief history. Shortly after that, there was a hangar tour. There were three aircrafts in the hangar (2 Airbus A320 and 1 Boeing B737) and the tour guide explained the maintenance process of the aircrafts. The students expressed their interest in the aircraft technology and maintenance process. Then lunch was provided in the canteen, with an amazing view facing aircrafts in hangar.
The visit continued with a presentation from Mr Dobrica Djordjevic as the Chief of Operations. He explained the company business and their expansion plans to have a new hangar beside the current one. This expansion will increase the capacity to 5 maintenance bays for narrow body aircrafts. Furthermore, he invited qualified IULI aviation engineering students to join the enterprise.
During the question and answer session, some students asked for more details of the aircraft maintenance and the recruitment process. They also asked about opportunities to do internship and research there. The event ended with a door price session for the lucky students who get some t-shirs, caps and e-moneys.

Before the students went back to campus, the CEO of FL Technic Indonesia joined them in a group photo session.
Actually, two AVE students batch 2016 did their internship in FL Technic Indonesia last semester. Hopefully more AVE students and alumni can have a bright future with this MRO company.
