The first Open House with the theme ‘A Unique Concept of Higher Education in Indonesia’ held on Saturday, 28 February at 1 p.m. in the future domicile of IULI in BSD Green Office Park area, was opened by Dr.-Ing. Ilham Habibie MBA as the Chairman of the IULI Foundation Board of Trustees.
“Indonesia has great potential to cooperate with Germany and Europe in scientific fields, such as aviation and nano research.We are proud that IULI has been entrusted by prestigious universities in Europe to implement their education system in Indonesia,” said Ilham Habibie.

Besides candidate students and their parents, the regent of Tangerang city, Mr. Ahmed Zaki Iskandar and the group CEO of Sinarmas Land were also present at the event. The audience including guests from European partner universities was entertained by IULI students performing live acoustic music and singing German songs.
Despite being a new campus, already more than a hundred students have registered in IULI.
“Students who have joined IULI in general are those who have specific interests and dreams as well as a clear study path,” concluded Dr. Ir. Tutuko Prajogo MSMfgE, the IULI rector.
