Study Program: Automotive Engineering Description: Automotive Engineering is a branch of Mechanical Engineering that studies how to design, develop and manufacture land transportation. Automotive Engineering combines some elements of courses in mechanical, electrical, electronics, safety and environment. Besides also the basic knowledge of physics, mathematics, chemisty and management. The course also offers the student with some specifics knowledge in Automotive Engineering like Inetrnal Combustion Engine, Power train, specific automotive electronics, automotive engine parts, and automotive technology in general. The aim competency of Automotive Engineering is that the students are able to to apply their knowledge to identfy, analyze, formulate and solve the problem in automotive engineering, to design component, auxiliary components or construction of automotive systems by considering technical, economical, safety, and other factors influence them. Our partner university, Technical University Ilmenau Germany, especially in automotive engineering could be the reference for the development automotive technology. Teknik Otomotif menggabungkan beberapa elemen mata kuliah di bidang mekanis/permesinan, kelistrikan, elektronika, serta keselamatan dan lingkungan. Selain itu, mahasiswa dibekali pengetahuan dasar fisika, matematika, kimia, dan manajemen. Program studi ini juga menawarkan beberapa pengetahuan spesifik/khusus di bidang teknik otomotif, seperti mesin pembakaran dalam, penyalur daya (power train), elektronika otomotif tertentu, suku cadang mesin otomotif, dan teknologi otomotif secara umum. Kompetensi Teknik Otomotif bertujuan agar mahasiswa mampu mengaplikasikan ilmunya untuk mengidentifikasi, menganalisis, merumuskan, dan memecahkan masalah di bidang teknik otomotif. Selain itu, mampu merancang komponen, komponen pembantu atau konstruksi sistem otomotif dengan memperhatikan aspek teknis, ekonomis, keselamatan, dan faktor lain yang mempengaruhinya.
